Ivey's Two Year Update

This little ham of ours turned two today. I can hardly believe how quickly the time has flown since she's been born. I feel like she should still be that tiny infant that slept so well on my chest. She's grown so much in the last year...here's her two year update...
1. She loves her lovies and she's my only pacifier baby. Not too sure how to go about breaking that habit, but we're going to work on that this summer.
2. She adores her sisters, but I'd say in different ways. Lila is who she wants when she wants to be loved on. She calls for her first thing each morning, and in the afternoons when she's picked up. Clare is her rough-housing sister ... that's who she wants to rumble and tumble with.
3. She does well at Sissy's ... loves her friends, and loves Sissy. Her favorites though are probably Payton and Anna Claire.
4. She seems to be my one that is the most babyish at 2. Her hair is so super curly, so it doesn't have the length that the other two had at 2. She understands every direction and all that is being said to her, but she doesn't communicate quite as well back. Her favorite thing to say is "my dada" or "my mama." She also loves to say "my Lila." She says "c'mon," wants to play "outsi," or "wing" on the front porch. She says "please" and "thank you."
5. She loves to dance, and is so funny when she tries to snap her fingers and sways back and forth.
6. She really enjoys her Sunday school class on Sunday mornings. Her teacher says she makes the noises of the animals and tries to sing the songs. She likes to try and find the stickers in the Bibles. Afterwards, she always gets a book to go and read with her teacher.
7. She likes to sit and rock each night in her daddy's rocking chair. We talk, giggle at the TV, read books, and snuggle...one of my favorite times with her.
8. She loves to be outside ... she likes to play, jump with her sisters, and sit on the front porch swing.
9.  She's such a happy girl ... she giggles, laughs, and talks all the time. She's a little girl though, and she's the youngest. She likes to play with what she wants to play with, and she likes for things to be her way. She's been known to lay herself down and have a little tantrum every once in awhile.
10. She's our baby, and we LOVE her so big!

Ivey Turns Two!!

Our Ivey Frances is TWO today!!!
Our birthday tradition of a chocolate chip muffin and happy birthday for breakfast!
These sweet sisters were so excited for Ivey's birthday ... they couldn't wait to wake her up this morning. We sang to her and played before school. Made my heart smile.
Delicious cupcakes made by my sweet friend, Kathy! They were perfect for celebrating tonight!
Present Time!! We got Ivey a picnic table for outside, a Minnie Mouse cash register, and a beach towel and swimsuit.
Sweet cousins ... thankful the Durhams came over to celebrate!
 My little family
Happy Birthday to our Ivey! You bring more joy and love into our lives, and we are so thankful that the good Lord saw fit to make you part of us.

Last Night as a 1 Year Old!

Can hardly believe she'll be 2 tomorrow!!?? Where has the time gone! Such a blessing this little caboose has been to our family...I could squeeze and love on her all day!

Easter!

Easter on the Square -- none of the kids were having it this year, and I'm not sure a single egg was picked up. We did give it a try though...
Easter baskets and egg hunting at home went much better though. The girls had a happy morning going through their baskets and hunting for eggs in the front yard.
