10 Months Old

 Anybody else think that it's crazy that my sweet girl is 10 months old?! In two short months, I'll be posting about her 1st birthday, and I won't lie ... I'm having a few issues with that!! Clare is a doll ... and sometimes I think her big sister thinks Clare is actually a doll. :-) Ha!

Clare's had a pretty big month. A few things that are going on:

BIG NEWS: 1. Clare took her first steps today! My parents are in town to watch the girls for a couple of days and to visit, and I got a text today that said "Papa saw Clare take three steps." Yay for Clare! When Josh and I got home from work, she took steps for both of us. She may be walking full-force before long!!

2. She's learned to give love. If I ask her to give a kiss, she'll give a big ol' wet, sloppy kiss. She's also started giving neck hugs. She's a super cuddly little lady.

3. She's cut her 5th tooth and it made her very fussy and unhappy.

4. We've dropped one of her bottles. Her mid-afternoon bottle is now a snack and a sippy-cup of milk. I think she's about ready to drop her lunch time bottle. She drinks really well from her cup and took to it really well.

5. She is BIG-TIME busy. She is into absolutely everything that she can lay her hands on. She's a climber too -- I've found her on the dishwasher, on the fireplace, even an end table once! She also puts anything and everything into her mouth. I have to make sure the floor is super clean ... she's a little baby vaccum.

6. She's started to really jibber-jabber. She talks all the time in the sweetest voice.

7. She's still on baby food, but we've introduced her to a little table food. She's had English peas, mashed potatoes, green beans, Cheerios, and grapes.

8. She's still a good night-time sleeper, but I have to fight naps a little bit.

9. l.o.v.e. to watch this child dance. She bounces and moves her hands up and down. So cute..

10. Clare and Lila have really started playing and giggling more and more. It's the sweetest thing to watch. Lila can get a little on the rough side -- you've gotta watch.

11. Clare's favorite game is peek-a-boo -- whether with a blanket or especially in this tent we have. It's hilarious how cracked up she can get.

Spring Break

We spent most of my spring break this year in Madison. We didn't do much more besides shop and eat out, but I got to sleep in a morning or two and the girls were spoiled. Doesn't get much better than that :) Here are a few pictures from our trip ...

We started out with some fantastic Easter baskets for the girls ... and mommy got one too :)

9 Month Pictures

We had Clare's 9 month pictures made Saturday morning. This is just a sneak peek that Amy gave me on Facebook, and I'm in love with that sweet face. Family Easter Lunch

Easter Morning

I love Easter ... I think I love Easter as much as I love Christmas. There will be a couple of posts just about Easter ... too many pictures to choose from. :)

The Easter Bunny was good to the girls ... they got baskets full of all kinds of goodies!!

The bunny also hid some eggs for them out in the front yard ... this was about the 20th time we had hunted eggs. :)

We finished the morning with breakfast before church. Clare had blueberry muffins for the first time. Can't say that she dug them, but we tried :)

Yay!!

 We headed to the park late this afternoon after an early dinner. The girls had a good time swinging and sliding. Clare Anne finally let me get a picture of her standing. I was super excited. She's stood before for a few seconds, but the camera is never around. At the park, she stood on several different occasions and the last time lasted forever! My girls are getting big!!

Easter at Sissy's

The girls had their Easter party at Sissy's yesterday. They had special treats and the big kids got to hunt eggs. Clare and Aubrey had their special eggs on the blanket -- the big kids weren't allowed to get them. :) Lila was super excited because she found the golden egg and got $1 for her piggy bank! Looking forward to our Easter morning!
