Another fun weekend in Madison ...

YAY for Casey who closes on her wonderful new home tomorrow!! We're very excited and can't wait to come hang out! :)

Skunks

My mom sent me this picture this morning, and I thought it was blog-worthy. Look closely ... those are three ... yes, THREE ... skunks on my aunt's back porch. They'd been having some mysterious porch issues up there in Tennessee, and set up a secret little camera to catch the culprits. Add an opossum and a raccoon to the mix and there might just be a little problem. Those three little heinies in a row just cracked me up.

Happy Anniversary!

Today Josh and I are celebrating our 2nd anniversary. Time sure does fly...our wedding day seems like just yesterday. It has been a wonderful two years -- we've accomplished a lot and come a long way. I'm very proud to have Josh as my husband. I love you!!

This week...

besides turning 5 months old, Lila ... wore her new swimsuit from Mimi and Pop while playing in the pool out back,

hung out with her buddy, Parker, at the Opelika Summer Swing concert,

and learned how to play on a new toy!!

5 Months Old

Wow ... Lila is 5 months old today!! She's grown like a weed in the last month and her little personality is changing daily.

1. She likes Barney ... she really likes any show that sings to her, but this is the only one we watch. She'll watch the Backyardigans too, but I can't find it on TV anymore??

2. Josh frequently plays his guitar for her, and she's just in a trance the whole time.

3. She's still a good night sleeper, and she's a much better napper these days too.

4. She's rolling over all the time now. She started doing it in her sleep, and most mornings we find her on her tummy.

5. She'd much rather stand on your lap then sit.

6. You'll find her sucking on her thumb every once in awhile.

7. She's a smiler and a talker.

8. She eats like a champ -- she gets cereal and applesauce in the morning, and veggies (sweet potatoes -- the fav --, squash, and peas right now) in the evening. It's making her quite healthy too!

9. She's a kicker ... I think she'll like to swim. She kicks those feet -- and she kicks hard!

10. She's trying to sit on her own -- Mind you, I'm propping her up, but she'll balance for a few seconds. (see pic below! :)
All in all, she's one great baby!!

Busy Summer Days

The past several days have been very busy. Lila and I traveled to Madison -- all by ourselves I might add!! Poor Joshua had to work, so we went without him. He was certainly missed!

Friday night I went to the wedding of a friend of mine from high school, and got to hang out with some of my favorite ladies!! It was good to get dressed up and hang out with some friends -- the wedding was beautiful and the night was fun!

Lila had lots of fun hanging out with her Papa -- he has a new sound that he makes that she just loves!!

We also hung out with Karen and Will...Lila also met her Uncle Robert and Aunt Nona for the first time this past weekend.
We traveled several times to Boaz. I blogged earlier about my Aunt Glynda having two masses on her brain...those masses were found to be Stage 4 cancer and her condition is worsening daily. Please continue to keep her and her family in your prayers...she is very much loved.
