Trick or Treat!

Just a few trick-or-treating pictures -- Opelika trick-or-treated tonight (which is gonna make for one doozy of a day at school tomorrow...sigh), so we headed out for some door-to-door action. Lila didn't know what to think about it at first, but she quickly got the hang of it. Doesn't take long to realize that all you have to do is knock and you get a sack full of treats. :)
Happy Halloween! Hope everyone has a safe one! :)

Celebrate!

Tonight, we headed out to the Botanical Gardens here in Huntsville to celebrate my aunt's new marriage. We had such a good time. It was especially neat to Josh and me because this is where we got married and had our wedding reception.
Standing at the place where our ceremony took place.

Lila and her cousins, Thomas and Emma Sisters -- Sarah and Lydia The Gardens were doing their scarecrow and tree house exhibits, so we walked the kiddos around. Here they're playing in a tree house that looked like a flower pot...pretty neat. Check out this face...Lila and the bride My sista and me

Mama with her cousin, Brenda, who it was so nice to see.

I Miss...

This girl! My Fall Break was Monday and Tuesday of this week, and we spent it in Madison with my family. I came back on Tuesday and left Lila with Grammy, Papa and Chashie since we were gonna head BACK to Madison this weekend for a wedding reception. We are missing her big time ... Josh more so because he hasn't seen her since last Friday. Needless to say, we're ready to see our munchkin!
Lila, on the other hand, will probably have to be dragged away. I think she's had a great time with them up there. This picture is from the pumpkin patch they went to today. I heard it was quite an adventure. We're so glad that Lila gets to spend time like this with her grandparents. She's lucky to have two great sets...period! (and an Aunt Chashie :)

I did it!

This morning, Casey and I (and 4800 other women!) ran the Liz Hurley Ribbon Run 5K. I've been working on this since July, and I am so proud that I stuck with it and finished! A finish line never looked so great, and I was pumped to see it. Looking forward to running in another one!
Us before the race
Us after the race. No actual running-in-the-race pictures ... Grammy had her hands full with Lila, the stroller, and the crowd.

Jack O'Lantern Lane

We headed to LaFayette this morning to one of the coolest pumpkin patches I've ever been to ... Jack O' Lantern Lane. It was Lila's first time at a pumpkin patch and it was perfect for her -- she loved it!
We started out on a wagon ride down to the pumpkin patch.
Once we got down to where the pumpkins were, we walked through the patch to pick out our two pumpkins.
They had these neat little creations with the bales of hay ... Lila particularly liked this dog one.
She shelled some corn on this contraption.
They also had farm animals that we could go and pet. She loved to look at the horse, but she didn't want the horse to touch her.
One-on-one with the cow
The bunny -- Lila had no fear ... She hopped right in and snatched one up.
Family Shot
They had this one little patch off to the side where they had grown these HUGE pumpkins.
Tractor Riding
We had a great time ... Can't wait to go back next year!!
