2 Weeks Old

Lila is two weeks old today! Boy, these last two weeks sure have flown by! She had a drs. appointment yesterday, and she's gained nearly a pound in a week. She does love eating time :). She is such a sweet baby and is so easy-going ... she takes after her dad on that account.

Lila's First Week

Here are some pictures of Lila's first week in the world. She is our greatest joy, and the absolute sweetest baby alive. Josh and I are truly very blessed!!

Thanks to my mom!!

My mom has been here all week (and I'm not sure if I'm going to let her go yet!) to help us with Lila. She has done laundry, cooked, cleaned, stayed up at night, etc. It has been just a tremendous help because it's allowed us to focus solely on Lila. Josh and I are both very thankful!! I have to say I'm very nervous when it does come time for her to leave ...

We welcomed Lila to the world on Friday night!

She was 7 pounds, 3 ounces and 21 inches long, and of course the most precious little girl ever!

Tough Life

Rudy has become increasingly difficult to deal with -- for Josh that is. Poor Josh is who deals with all the doggie antics; I'm just here to love on them :)! Anyway, Rudy has become quite an escape artist -- from our screened-in back porch and from our fenced-in yard. Plus, he's a digger and he gets so dirty if he's outside for any length of time! So...Josh decided yesterday (for the 100th time :) that Rudy would just have to be an inside dog -- instead of letting him in the backyard, we'll have to walk him, etc. Josh took him for a bath and let him in, and Rudy seems to be enjoying the comforts of the inside. Take note of the pictures ... He sure does have it hard, doesn't he?? Poor Gibson on the otherhand just misses his best friend terribly.

I'm kind of embarrassed to even show how dirty we have let him get at times ... but I found it and it was too funny not to post. Josh bathed him on Christmas Day -- that water is nothing but dirt. Just an example of how filthy this dog LOVES to be!

Lila's room is pretty much done! We have a few minor things to add, but it's definitely ready for her! :)
