The Weekend
We had a pretty busy weekend around here ... Saturday, we loaded Lila up and attempted a trip to Auburn to Cityfest. We ended up only staying an hour ... it was hot and Lila wasn't digging on it. The only picture I got was of her and Josh, but it shows the extent of what we did -- sat under a shade tree. We ended up out to eat for a late lunch and then did some shopping around town.
We also think this sweetie might be teething?? Is that possible at 3 months old?? She has all the symptoms...drool, messy diapers, a diaper rash...I guess we'll see. I plan on being "that" mom and calling the doctor tomorrow about it...It just seems awful early for teeth!

Sweet Lila
Lila with her Grammy and Papa ... Just want to say how much we appreciate my mom right now. She has basically given up her weeks while I've gone back to work. Not only does she love on and take care of my child, she has done our laundry, housework, and cooked for us. Are we spoiled?? Ummm ... yea. I am really enjoying spending this time with Mama ... it's been a long time since we were able to hang out for this length of time and I sure do get to missing her when she's way up in North Alabama.

3 Months Old
*She smiles, coos, and talks all the time now. She's a happy baby, and is pretty much only upset when she knows it's time for a bottle. Her changing table is still one of her favorite places to play.
*She sleeps through the night -- 8:45ish to 6:45ish -- SUCH a blessing! She's not the world's best napper, but we're working on that. :)
*She loves for her daddy to be in charge of bathtime...he must make it more fun for her that mama does.
*Her favorite songs are "Twinkle, Twinkle" and the "Itsy-Bitsy Spider." I sing other songs, but she only smiles and laughs at those.
*She enjoys playing on her playmat...the lights and mirror keep her entertained.
*We're just now pulling out the Bumbo, so we'll see out it works out. Lila's pretty strong though .. she supports her head really well, and pushes with her feet to try and stand on your lap.
*She's also become quite the shopper, and her mama enjoys her company while we're out and about! Like mother, like daughter ... ;-)

Pine Mountain Weekend
Saturday Josh and I loaded Lila up and headed to Pine Mountain to visit a friend of mine that I used to teach with. She had twin boys about 4 days after Lila was born. Her and her husband own a restaurant there, where we ate lunch (I recommend Chipley's to anyone visiting Pine Mountain!). Afterwards we strolled through the little town festival and then headed to Chasity's house to visit. We really enjoyed our day and wore Miss Lila out! She slept like a log last night!!
Chasity and James live on this great little lake. It was such a warm, pretty day! We enjoyed hanging out on the dock.
Griffin, Lila and Brody -- Keep in mind she's just 4 days older!!

The mamas and their babies
Today our nephew, Jackson, turns 11! We hope that he has a great day! Happy Birthday, Jack!

We Survived...
Well I believe that we have officially survived my first week back at work. Tuesday morning was a little difficult (I'm not sure how it couldn't have been anything but that), but I made it with only a few tears shed. It is SO much easier leaving Lila when she's in her grandmother's arms. I think her and my mom both enjoyed each other's company. I sure did look forward to 3:30 though -- couldn't wait to get my hands on my little Lilabug!! I am T-I-R-E-D though! My 2nd graders broke me back in quick!
Here are a few updated pictures from the last week...
Notice the milk on my child's face above -- she sure does enjoy eating time!
