Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween from my little clown and Tinkerbell!!
Props to my mama for making their absolutely adorable costumes...they were perfect!
We had a great time trick or treating tonight. Lila loved it this year -- her goal was to go to lots of houses and fill her bucket to the top. Clare had fun too, tagging along behind Lila.
Hope everyone enjoyed a safe and Happy Halloween! :)

Trunk or Treat

We headed to a local trunk or treat on Sunday night. It was pretty chilly, so we kind of got in and got out. :) Fun was had by all though ... despite the cold.

Jack O'Lantern Lane

We headed to the pumpking patch this morning and had a great time. This particular place had inflatables, pony rides, a petting zoo, and a place to grind corn -- all in addition to the hayride and getting a pumpkin. We had a really great time being together as a family. Looking forward to several Halloween activities in the next few days!!

Scarecrow Trail

These pictures are from our trip to Madison last weekend -- don't know why I never got these posted. We went to the Botanical Gardens with my mom and sister to see the scarecrow trail. It was pleasant weather, and we enjoyed walking through the gardens and seeing all the scarecrows and decorated bales of hay.
Sometimes Lila got tired of waiting on Clare and took matters into her own hands.
This is the spot where Josh and I got married -- I always take a second to grab their pictures there when we visit.

Ribbon Run

The girls and I headed to Madison Thursday night for a little self-made mini-Fall Break. We've had fun shopping, eating out, and playing. This morning, I ran the Ribbon Run with Casey. I've been working pretty steady on my stamina, and my goal was to finish in 36 minutes and run the whole thing. It was something fun to do with my sister ... I really enjoyed the run and am looking forward to my next 5K. :)
This is pre-race.
We took a wagon for the girls to hang out in, and they did great for Grammy while we ran.
Even got their faces painted -- sweet things. :)
Post-Race -- I met both my goals -- we finished in 36.35 and I ran it all!! I was pretty excited.
Here's to the next one!

Private

It's been on my mind for a bit, and I believe I'm going to go ahead and make the blog private. This does not mean private to those family and friends that read the blog, so I would LOVE for those who would like to read to continue doing so. Please leave a comment, shoot me an email or message me on Facebook, and I'll add you to the reader list. Make sure to leave your email address!!
Thank you!!

Fun Day

We had a relaxing day today of shopping, eating out, and playing. The weather was really nice, and we were kind of on our own pace. We loved having Casey here to tag along with us. We ate lunch at Amsterdam's which was a treat ... we ate out on the patio and were by ourselves for a good while. What a relief because I didn't have to worry about keeping the girls still or quiet ... there was no one to bother!!
Monkey see, monkey do!
We strolled around downtown and stopped by the sign.
We stopped by one of the lawns and let the girls run around and play.
I love 'em!
Clare got her first taste of a Gigi's cupcake ... I think she loved it. :)
We topped off the day by painting our pumpkins from the pumpkin patch.
Clare was an absolute mess by the time she was done.
Lila concentrated very hard to paint her pumpkin just like she wanted. She worked very diligently.
Their finished products...
Clare had more paint on her than the pumpkin by the end ...
so, we drug out this bucket and washed her little self off right in the driveway.
And, Lila could not be left out.
We had a great day ... I love perfect fall days like these!!
