Lila's Last Day at Sissy's

Lila had her last day at Sissy's today. She's been going to Sissy's house since she was 7 months old. I am so thankful that we were able to find such a fun, loving, stable environment where she could happily spend her days. She loves her Sissy as well as every other member of the Brown family. It was bittersweet, but I know she's excited about kindergarten and the things to come. Mama will come around. ;-) I'm so proud of the little girl that she has become!!

Sissy made her a scrapbook full of pictures made over the last five years.

She also made her a "first day of school" t-shirt ... one that she'll wear each year on the first day for a picture. I guess by 2027 this big ol' shirt will finally fit!

Last Day of School!!

From the first day of school to the last, it's been quite a year of growing and learning. Thankful for all the memories and experiences, but so excited to celebrate summer and spend time with my babies.

Camping at Lakepoint

We spent this Memorial Day camping in Eufala with Josh's parents. I have to admit that this was truly my first time giving camping a good go. The girls were beyond excited, and it didn't disappoint. We all had a really great time! We spent a lot of time at the pool and went fishing for a little bit. Mostly, we were able to relax and enjoy each other's company. We are looking forward to our next trip, Mimi and Pop!!

These two girls were sisters and were about 9 and 12ish..they befriended my girls at the pool and played and played with them. Lila and Clare really enjoyed them, and these sisters were really sweet to Lila and Clare.

Lila Graduates from Preschool!!

Lila had her graduation from preschool this evening. She has truly enjoyed her year in school. I'm so proud of the things that she's learned and the little girl that she is. She has such a kind heart and so much character. Her teachers have been wonderful and incredibly encouraging all year. I know that she is ready for kindergarten ... but first, we're going to enjoy summer!!!
