Daddy/Daughter Dance

This pretty little thing had a date night with her daddy tonight. I absolutely adore this tradition and love that the girls get to go and do something special like this with Josh. It's precious! Lila was beyond excited to wear her fancy dress. I even let her wear some blush and lipstick ... she loved that.

Josh said that they had a good time. Lila is a bit timid in times and places like this ... he said she didn't get to dancing too much, but did bob her head a little. :) I'm pretty sure she's like her mama, and just sits back and takes it all in.

Just for kicks, here are the past two years -- look how much she's grown!!

I stayed home with this little princess. She will get to dress up next year, and she's already talking about the pink dress that she's going to wear. I enjoyed having some one-on-one time with my sweet little bear ... we cuddled and watched a movie. I even painted her fingernails like her big sister.

By the way, it's much easier to get a face like the one below than it is to get pretty, smiling face!!

A Beautiful Sunday

After some of the most wintry days that I can remember, Mother Nature gave us a break this past weekend. We finally enjoyed a beautiful Saturday and Sunday...it was sunny and the temperatures were nice. We got out Sunday afternoon and took the girls to the park. They were so excited and enjoyed all the swings and climbing that they could get in. I have never been more ready for spring!!!

Happy Birthday, Josh!

Josh celebrated the big 3-5 this past Friday. Mimi and Pop usually come on Thursdays to visit, and they brought a yummy ice cream cake to celebrate a night early. We also had a friend with us that night -- our buddy, Sam, is taking it all in.

Friday night, we had dinner out and had some more yummy chocolate cake. Josh (er, the girls) opened up some presents before our dinner.

Happy Birthday, Josh! We love you very much!!

Last Tuesday, Josh got to go to Lila's school and eat breakfast with her. I know she was pretty excited, and it sounds like they enjoyed their donuts quite a bit!! She was proud to share her daddy craft with him. I'm glad they got to share a special morning together.

Frozen Sing-Along

We had a fun afternoon seeing Frozen ... for the 3rd time. ;-) We got to sing along though, and our company was pretty fantastic!!
