Visit to North Alabama

We headed to Madison this weekend amid all the nasty weather. It was SUCH a fast weekend, but one that we enjoyed a lot. :)

Saturday we headed to a shower to honor Michelle and her little-girl-on-the-way Katie ... Lila sported some jewelry for the first time and she was all about it. She wore a pearl bracelet Saturday and a little gold one Sunday to church ... she kept admiring it and pointing to it. So funny!

Saturday night, Joshie got a treat. He was surprised with a pair of Allman Brothers tickets -- his all time favorite band. They were playing in Huntsville that night so we had a little impromptu date night and headed out to see a good show.
Sunday morning before church, Grammy wanted some pictures in front of the snowball bush...this is about as good as it got...
Lila got outside Sunday afternoon before we left to get some playing in since it rained ALL DAY Saturday. Grammy and Papa got her a bubble lawn mower, and she enjoyed pushing it around.

Pool Time

Josh drug out the kiddie pool yesterday, cleaned it up, and we suited Lila up. She's at such a fun age, and I'm really looking forward to this summer with her. There's a big difference between this time with the pool and the last time we drug it out to take a dip!

Aunt Casey Came!

We had a great visit with Aunt Casey this weekend! We were very, very glad to see her. Lila immediately jumped down and ran over ... arms open wide and a big smile on her face!! We had a great time!

She brought Lila some amazing Easter loot. You wouldn't believe how much Grammy fit into that sweet little Easter bag!

On Saturday, we all took our first trip to the Montogomery Zoo. I was pretty impressed ... they had some cool animals there. We went through it kinda quick, but we all really enjoyed it.

We got home and lazed around the rest of the day ... Lila and Aunt Casey got into the bubbles.

This morning we went to church, and Lila wore this amazing dress that my mom MADE for her!! She smocked it, pieced it together, everything. Lila looked so pretty! We will treasure it Grammy!!

We're so glad you came to visit Aunt Casey!! Thanks for being such a wonderful aunt to Lila and for loving her so much! :) We love you!!

Easter with Family

We spent this afternoon with Josh's big ol' family celebrating Easter. Lila played like a champ despite being slightly under the weather. After lunch was the big egg hunt ... they hid 250 eggs!! Lila found 10 ... and half of them were put in the basket by her daddy and myself! By the time egg hunting rolled around, she just wasn't too interested.

She was entertained more by the swing...

then she just stood and wouldn't let go of her sippy cup. She was very pitiful... then she latched on to her Pop, and that's when some of the egg hunting started. Pop helped her find a few of them, and of course, loved on her all that he could! We took the opportunity to take several (and I mean, several) family shots since so much of the family was there.

Easter Egg Hunt #1

Lila's first little Easter Egg Hunt was this afternoon at Sissy's. Josh and I were both able to be there to help Lila out finding eggs. We really enjoyed it and are looking forward to the rest of our Easter weekend!! :) Thanks Sissy!
