Look who is 5 months old!!
Clare continues to be such a happy and content baby. I say that with a smirk because she's in the other room right now fighting a nap with some crazy fussiness. BUT for the most part, she's quite happy and content -- she loves her big sister and watches her with such amazement. She's grown a bushel this month, and I'd love to know her length and weight. She eats her rice cereal in the morning and evening, but we try to add a veggie with it at night. She's not a big veggie fan ... so far sweet potatoes is all she'll eat decently. She plays well on her play mat and in her exersaucer thing. She's rolling and flipping like crazy, and has now decided that her stomach is where she likes to sleep. She is still a snuggly baby and loves to be held. She coos and laughs a lot. She puts anything in her mouth and is constantly chewing on her hands, bib, etc. You would think a tooth is coming in, but I can't see one. She's also getting stronger in the sitting position. She's doing really well with that and I think she'll be a sitting champ once 6 months rolls around. She's our little Clare bear and we love her like crazy!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving from these two little turkeys!
Clare Anne's First Thanksgiving
Thankful for these folks and their hospitality today, and for the little things you all do all the other days for us! We love you, Mimi, Pop, and Granny!
And, thankful for my family who I missed dearly today!
I know that we should be thankful every day for all the blessings in our life, but I am glad for a day like Thanksgiving that really makes me take a moment to remember. Life gets so busy and hectic, and I'm all the time feeling like I'm rushing on to the next thing. Today though I'm thankful for the countless blessings that have been given to my little family. My Lila's laughter and silliness lift my spirits beyond belief. Clare Anne's sweet cuddles and coos make my heart warm. Josh's love for me and the girls give me such a sense of security and peace. These few things just begin to scratch the surface. God has blessed my family beyond measure.
So, from my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Birthday, Papa!
Happy, happy birthday to my daddy!! We love you very much and so appreciate you for all that you do for us! I couldn't ask for a better daddy :) Happy Birthday! Love, All of Us
Lila's 1st AU Game
Auburn played Samford this weekend for Homecoming. We had been planning for awhile to go to this game because one of my cousins, Kasey, plays for Samford, plus we thought it'd be a good game for Lila to go to. Aunt Casey came into town to join us (and yes, Josh went too :). We only lasted till halftime but we had a really good time! Lila was a little overwhelmed by the crowd in the stadium, but she hollered "War Eagle!" as we were walking onto campus. Auburn won :), but Kasey, the cousin, played great! We were proud to see him out on that field (he's #61 in the last picture)!

Clare's 3 month pictures
Was so excited yesterday to get the proofs of Clare's 3 month photo session. I was pretty sure they'd turn out great because Clare couldn't have been more content. I love them. I took Lila along, and Jennie was sweet enough to include her in some pictures. To view them, go to http://www.jenniferyoungphoto.com/, then proofing and the password is clare11.
Casey ran a 1/2!
This past weekend while we were in Madison, we got to cheer Casey on while she ran a half marathon. Well, actually it started at 8, and the girls and I got there about 9:30 to see her as she finished. Lila and Clare were happy to wear the awesome aunt shirts, and they were the cutest cheerleaders there. :)
We were happy to see Casey round the corner, and ...
FINISH! :)
Casey and her running partner, Bert. All their weeks of training (and hurting) paid off!

This Week
Lila has been at Grammy and Papa's house all week this week. To say I miss my big girl is an understatement. She might have missed us a little, but I think she's had more fun shopping and eating out and seeing this fellow here ... Casey took her to see Sesame Street Live on Wednesday, and I think she was in love.
And while Lila is away, I've gotten to love on my 2nd one. I've really enjoyed the uninterrupted snuggling time I've had with Clare. Being the 2nd child, she certainly doesn't get the one-on-one attention Lila got. She's definitely loved on all the time, but that also includes Lila squeezing her around the neck or pinching at her cheeks. OR Lila trying to push Clare out of my lap so she can sit in it. :) Clare is a sweet, sweet baby. The time change had her all confused this week, but I think she's getting back to normal. She's a roly-poly these days and I'm not just referring to those sweet cheeks. She's rolling from her back to her stomach and back again, and I've even caught her sleeping on her tum-tum in the mornings. I've loved my week with Clare.
We get to see our Lilabug tonight and we're ready ... 6 nights without my big girl is a long time. We're also gonna cheer on my little sister in her first 1/2 marathon!! GOOOO Casey!!!

Samford Bulldogs
We traveled to Birmingham yesterday to watch one of my very handsome cousins play football. We had a great time seeing family we don't see often and really enjoyed watching Kasey out there doing his thing. We're looking forward to when the Samford Bulldogs come to Auburn in a few weeks!

And She Eats!
Clare had her first taste of rice cereal tonight. She did pretty good for a rookie. More got in her mouth than I thought, and she was lapping it up! Lila thought it was hilarious. The whole time she was saying, "Her making a mess, Mommy!" Can't believe my baby's old enough for some food! Time's flyin'!

Stats
We just got back from the doctor. My girls are a.n.g.e.l.s. No, seriously. I love my pediatrician, but I had an appointment today at 3:30. I didn't get into a room to see him till 4:45. I didn't get in my car till 5:30. I had a 4 month old and a 2 1/2 year old ... by myself. These girls were troopers. And they both had to get a shot ... I was so proud. Now on to the stats...
Clare Anne
14.8 lbs., 25 inches long
Got the go ahead for cereal and food, so we'll be starting that soon. That'll be interesting.
Lila Wilson
31 lbs., 37 inches tall
She got a bit of an impromptu check, mainly just to chart her growth.
She also got a last minute flu shot. She was a doll and rewarded with a Happy Meal and a milkshake.
