This is what we are all doing today, my sweet big girl. We are thinking about Granny. We lost this sweet and remarkable lady unexpectedly Sunday morning. After the loss of my own grandparents (which happened just after Josh and I were married--my granddaddy passed away), it was lonely. It's really hard to lose a grandparent. Granny though became my last grandparent. She was so incredibly special. Granny treated me as her own grandchild and always introduced me as her granddaughter. She loved all of her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren brought her even more joy. She missed nothing -- she was at showers and ball games and birthday parties and recitals and dances. In fact, she was at our house just last weekend to watch Josh and Lila go to their little dance. She loved seeing Lila all dressed up, and she laughed and giggled as she watched Clare and Pop play. She was at the birth of both of my daughters and one of the first people to hold them. I love how much she loved the Atlanta Braves and the Auburn Tigers. This picture is one of my favorite ones of her with the girls. It was at her 85th birthday party ... and boy did she love a party. :) I hope you're having a great big one right now, Granny, and loving every minute of it!!
You will definitely be missed here on Earth.
