Sweet Beach Girls

Our yearly attempt at the beach pictures in white. Clare Anne made it interesting this year, and I probably took 45 more besides these trying to get a good one! Love these sweet girls!

Our Beach Trip

**Picture OVERLOAD!!**
We just got back from a great time in Gulf Shores with my parents and sister. It was a MUCH needed vacation. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and the girls played their little hearts out.
Enjoy our trip in a nutshell.

Vintage

The girls went vintage this past Sunday for church. Lila is wearing my dress from when I was little, and Clare is wearing Casey's. On top of that, my mama made them for us. Love that my girls can wear these!!

Our Slumber Party

We have a pull-out sofa in our playroom for when we have company. Lila usually weasels in with my sister or mom when they come to visit -- she loves sleeping on this thing. She begged me this weekend to pull it out so we could watch a movie and have a slumber party. I obliged. I got them settled then went to get my jammies on ... when I came back, I found them in this position. They are too much!! Our slumber party was a success, by the  way. :)

Ballet Wrap-Up

Lila finished up her year in ballet tonight. This is her with her sweet teacher Miss Nan. This girl was great with all of those little girls...Lila loved her, and I appreciated her sweet and calm way.

Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day! I could go on and on about the blessings of being a mama. I look at my daughters, and I am overwhelmed by the fact that they call me mother. They are sweet, kind, polite, funny, compassionate, empathetic, and the absolute best. They can also be whiny and difficult and persistent and stubborn ... don't get me wrong, we have a lot of moments that make me want to step in a corner and count to ten. But that's life ... that's reality. I thank the Lord that He gave the job of mothering them to me ... that I'm the one, with His help, that guides them out of those whiny, stubborn moments and leads them to the kind, compassionate ones. I pray daily for the grace to do that. I am thankful for every day we are given to watch them grow and become the little people that they are. These two ladies are my heart, and my cup overflows.
How incredibly thankful I am that my girls have these two women in their lives who love them, support them, and teach them. Josh and I are both extremely lucky to have such amazing moms. We appreciate their love, their support, their strength and their courage. We love you Grammy and Mimi ... to the moon and back.
And to our Granny, on this 1st Mother's Day without you, you were missed terribly but loved even more!

Lila's Ballet Recital

Lila's first dance recital was this afternoon, and she did fantastic! She watched her teacher and did exactly what she was suppose to do. I was beyond proud of her, and I'll admit that I teared up watching my sweet girl up there on that stage. She was beautiful!!
All our family pictures ... so thankful to all the grandparents and Aunt Casey for coming to see our girl dance. :-)
The first thing Lila asked when I picked her up was "Did you get me flowers like all these other kids?" Of course, baby girl, of course!
Lila and her buddy, Emory.
Yay Lila! We are so proud of you!!
