A Warm Day..

equals us outside to play!! Josh and I walked over to Lila's daycare this afternoon (with an empty stroller ... we got some looks ;-) to pick her up and enjoy this weather!! We stayed out in the yard when we got home and played. Love it!! It's hard to believe that this time last year my maternity leave was a day from being over and I was heading back to work. My, my how time flies!!
Lila's new love is a ball.

She wouldn't drive her car around ... she just read in it.

Best Buddies

I finally caught Lila on tape singing her part of Ring-Around-the Rosy. It's not the most interesting video...but hey, I think she's pretty cute!

Spring Fever

Hallelujah for a pretty, warm day!! We spent yesterday afternoon at the park and had a blast. Granny and Aunt Cyndi joined us, and Lila was very excited to see them. It was so nice to be outside and enjoy the great weather ... too bad we woke up to rain and cold today.. Spring come back!!

Spring Break 2010

Lila spent most of last week under the weather. Her Grammy and Papa came down to help us out and kept Lila at home so Josh and I could get some work in. Lila and I got up Saturday morning with my parents and rode to Madison to spend the majority of our Spring Break. I SOO needed some rest and relaxation, and we've had so much fun hanging out with Grammy, Papa and Aunt Casey. We stopped on the way to visit with Aunt Cat and Uncle Robert, and we've spent our days since trying to keep warm, eating out, and shopping.
Today we made a trip to Tennessee to visit with family, and we made a stop at a very special place...my grandparent's farm. It's been too long since I've been back, and this was Lila's first trip. I was so proud to bring Lila to this place where so many special memories were made. Sure wish my grandmother and granddaddy could've been there to meet her. It was too cold to do much running around, but we stopped in the house and played in the yard for a few minutes.

The Little House

We even got to see Emma and Thomas for a few minutes! Lila loves her cousins -- she perked right up when she saw them!
Sweet pea turn 14 months old yesterday. She is such a mess!! She's talking more and more each day, reads books ALL the time, will point her finger at you and just give you what-for, and can throw a little fit with the best of them. She is a joy to have for a little girl, and look how big she is! Can't wait for summer to spend all my time with this little lovebug!

Cousins

Lila is part of a cousin stair-step ... Karlee, Lila, and new little Raleigh are just at a year apart from each other. Karlee was born Jan. of 2008; Lila was born Jan. 2009; and, we welcomed little Raleigh in Feb. of 2010. We had the three of them together just the other day, and it made for a sweet picture. I look forward to many more of these little "stair-step" pictures in the years to come! Is it not amazing how much they change in just a year's time?!

What's Goin' On...

Can I tell you how glad I am that spring appears to be around the corner?! The weather this past weekend was fantastic!! Josh, Lila, and I got out Saturday morning and took a LONG walk, and it was so enjoyable! Mimi, Pop, and Granny came Saturday night to watch Lila for us while we went to a wedding. We missed Bug, but it was nice to get dressed up and enjoy some "adult" time! Lila enjoyed her time with her grandparents!

How sweet is this?! They read books and played a peek-a-boo game ... Lila really enjoyed playing with Granny. I'm so thankful that Lila has such a fanstastic great-grandmother to go along with the great grandparents she's got. As someone who was never able to know her great-grandparents, I'm glad that Lila has the opportunity to spend time with one of hers...just wish all the rest of them were here to love on her too!!
On a final note, this is the unhappy face we've seen since Sunday morning. Lila started acting puny yesterday and started running a low-grade fever. I took her to Dr. Greer this afternoon, and the poor child has RSV and a sinus infection. She's had her moments of whininess and we've (er, correction I've) definitely not slept much, but she's still got a sweet temperment despite all she's got going on. Hopefully, we are on the mend!!

Two more...

pictures that I forgot to put with my last post. They're too sweet not to include, but it'll totally mess you up if you have insert them at the end of a post. Here you go...going home from school!

PJ Day

Sissy had PJ day at school today for the kiddos. Got her to take some pictures of them playing .. too cute! Lila's learning so much these days ... talks A LOT! She says "ashes, ashes" from ring-around-the-rosy, says "moo" like a cow and "quack" like a duck. She's saying "thank you" and getting to where she's so helpful. She helped me unload the dishwasher tonight!! She's growing so fast ... she looks so big to me in a few of these pictures!
The Gang -- Emory, Mason, Lila and Tucker
Little Buddies -- Em and Lila
Peyton is really good with the kids ... all of Melinda's kids are. Lila really loves her some "ey-ton" though!
She looks like she's hiding ... check out the major ponytail!
My Happy Girl

Look how big! Sliding down the slide..
Lots of playing

So blessed to have Lila in a good place! She loves going to Sissy's!!
