Look Who's 17 Months Old!

This little lady is 17 months old today!

Clare Anne has oodles of sass and personality ... she is my mess, for sure.

She gets into more things -- cabinets, the fridge, and now my Christmas tree. She's still a climber. Recently she's figured out how to climb into her bed, and she made her way out of it one night (but that's only happened once, thank goodness!!) We are constantly saying, "Clare Anne! No! No!"

She's talking more and more ... says lots of things, Lila, mama, dada, Papa, Pop, Mimi, says Emme for Emory, and Nana for her friend Hannah. She says eech for cheese, byebye, dog and Minnie. She has her version of Grammy, Casey and Sissy. She also can say lots of animal sounds.

She loves to read, and can be a sneak -- especially when she's after cookies or treats.

Sharing is an issue as of late, but hopefully we're getting better at this.

She gives us a run for our money, that's for sure, but we love her to the moon and back and are so thankful for the light she adds to our lives!!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

We finally got our tree up and decorated .. it was a chore and I got pretty ill with it, but it's done, and I'm once again in the Christmas spirit. The girls love it and everyone is excited.

This was by far the best out of the 30 pictures I've taken since putting the tree up. Official Christmas card pics have not yet been staged, though your thoughts and well wishes would be appreciated. Lila has developed a fake smile, and Clare won't hardly even look at the camera. Lord.help.me.

Excuse me, but something just cracked against my fireplace and broke. Pretty sure the culprit is my little one, and I'm just praying it wasn't an ornament!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from my two little turkeys!!

Thanksgiving day was spent at our house. My parents and sister came to celebrate with us, and I was so glad to have them here. We had wonderful food -- that we ate too much of -- and such a nice time being with each other. We missed the family that we didn't get to see, but we had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

So thankful for all of the blessings in our life ... our family, friends, and the list goes on and on. Hope everyone has had a blessed day with lots of fellowship and good food. :)

Cutie Patooties

These two have really started to buddy up and play a lot together. I think it has to do with the fact that Clare adores her big sister and does everything that Lila does. Clare imitates it all! I love that they love each other so much ... I'm very thankful for their little bond.

P is for Pajama

The girls have a letter each week that they study. Lila has been pumped all week because this week was the letter 'p,' and they were going to have a pajama party. She was proud because she had some princess pajamas and that was a double whammy in her book in the 'p' category. Clare just said ribbit all morning long in her froggie pjs. I'm so impressed and proud of the girls and their learning this year. Yay for Sissy's!! :)
