Fun Saturday Night

First of all, check out my cutie ponytail that we were able to make on Saturday!! I LOVE IT! She looked adorable!

Saturday night, Josh cooked some fish, and Mimi, Pop, and Clete-man came to visit!! We so enjoyed the evening! Clete and Lila got to spend some quality time together! They played so well together and were very cute to watch. We had fun!! :)

Time in Madison

This past weekend my mama and sister came to spend the night with us and pick up Lila to take her back to Madison for some Lila-Grammy-Papa-Aunt Casey one-on-one time. Thursday night was different for Josh and me ... much different than when we had our beach weekend. I guess since we were in our own home, it was strange not to have the Bug around and into everything. Anyway, she had tons of fun, and we were thankful they were able to spend that time together. Not to mention that our late Friday night drive was MUCH easier sans Lilabug.

We had a family day Saturday with my aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lila got to hang out with these two cuties and had lots of fun. Thanks Thomas and Emma for being such great playmates!

We also got to spend some time running around outside! The weather was beautiful!!

On an EVEN happier note, just want to welcome the new babies that two dear families had this weekend!! Can't wait to meet and love on Babies Raleigh and Tripp!!

Hey!

"Hey!" is what we hear a lot of lately around here, along with "no no" and even a version of "thank you" ... such a polite girl we've got! ;)

Sweet Pea is 13 months old today!! Can't seem to get away from those monthly posts :)

Not much to report ... she's talking a lot more and she's all about some mama and daddy right now. She's more and more fun as the days pass! We're enjoying her so much!!

Look what I found ...

in my kitchen cabinet! We have SUCH a hard time keeping Lila from opening the doors to this particular cabinet and pulling out the food that's in there. This is the only door in my kitchen that doesn't have a child-thing on it ... and I hear you all saying, "Well, duh Jamie! Put one on there!" Well, we're getting to it!! Anyway, while I was cleaning the kitchen last night, I turned around last night to say no for the millionth time and this is what I found. Just had to laugh ... she is turning into SUCH a mess!

Weekend Getaway

Josh and I spent the weekend here...

at the lovely Fish Camp. Just the two of us ... yep, that's right. Lila spent her first weekend away from Mama. And we all survived!! Mimi and Pop took her in for the weekend, so Josh and I could have a little weekend away. Lila had a great time hanging out at the lake while we were at the beach.

A big thanks to the Smiths and Durhams for letting us use their wonderful home away from home. It was a VERY relaxing and quiet trip, one that I think I was in great need of. We hung out around the house, took a walk to the bay, went out to eat, saw a movie, and shopped a little.

We were, however, quite glad to get home to this little sweet pea!! We sure did miss her!!

On another note, Joshua is having a birthday today!! Happy 3-1!! We hope your day was great!! We love you SO much, Jamie and Bug

Little Reader

Lila's really gotten to where she'll sit with a book and jibber-jabber all the way through it ... several times. It's pretty sweet and oh-so-cute!

Never Fear..

We're here! Things have been kind of slow around here since the big party ... not much has been going on! Right now, we're gearing up for Lila's 12 month pictures (hence the fancy dress while playing), Josh's birthday, and my first weekend away from the bug. More on that later ...

We had a little try-on tonight for her portraits -- wanted to make sure the dress still fit. My grandmother made this dress for me when I turned one ... it's what I'm wearing in my one-year pictures. We thought it'd be special if Lila wore it too! I've been worried that it'd be too short ... can you tell that it hits her right under her heinie?! I think though it'll work out just perfect ... the sentimental value counts for a LOT!!
She's been lovin' this bounce house borrowed from my dear friend, Jenny and her little boy, Parker. I know he's wondering when his fort will be returned and I can only say that it will be very soon, Parker!! Lila has really enjoyed it!
