Ivey is 6 Months Old!

 Six Months Old! Wow!
I CAN NOT believe that Ivey Frances is 6 months old today. Where on earth has this past half year gone?? She continues to be the biggest blessing to our family. Her happy and sweet little self makes our days so much better. Here are a few things about Ivey at 6 months:
1. She's eating food regularly now. She has oatmeal or rice cereal with a fruit in the mornings, and a vegetable and a fruit in the evenings. She gets 3 5 ounce bottles, a snack bottle with her food, and a 7 oz bottle to go to bed on.
2. All this food would be fine and dandy if she didn't spit everything.she.eats.up. Bless her sweet little heart -- I'm so tired of spit up. Her clothes (and mine, and her daddy's, and probably Sissy's) clothes stay yucky...as does my carpet. I'm pretty sure that the doctor thinks it's a mechanical thing, and she'll outgrow it. I'm pretty ready for that.
 3. She continues to sleep pretty well at night .. she lays down about 7:45 (after bath and a bottle) and is up by 6:15 most mornings.
4. She is my chunky little baby, but in her defense pictures make her look bigger than she is. She wears 6 month clothes very well. We go to the doctor on the 27th, so we will see her length and weight.
5. She likes to be held, but she mainly just likes to know that someone is around. She enjoys company for sure.
6. I've probably noted this before, but she has the most awesome smile. She smiles with her entire body ... it just wiggles and lights up with happiness.
7. She's starting to try and sit up better -- she's not too strong with it yet though. She is also starting to get up on her hands and knees like she's ready to crawl. She rolls easily now, and enjoys reaching and playing with toys. She likes to play with her feet and if she's only wearing a diaper she'll lay on her back and suck on her toes.
8. She keeps her hands in her mouth, and she really likes to wad the sleeves up on her clothes and chew on them. You'd think she's teething, but I don't see anything yet.
9. I think I'm going to finally have a paci baby ... she seems to really enjoy having one around.
I adore this baby -- the perfection addition to my other two little loves.

Liz Hurley Ribbon Run

Lila ran her first 5k with Casey yesterday morning. She was a little intimidated at first ... Casey said she got upset, and Casey was worried she wouldn't be able to go through with it. She got straightened out, and Casey said she that Lila ran the majority of the race. We were able to look up the results, and Lila placed 24th out of 64 in her age group -- she was the first 6 year to cross the finish line! So proud of her, and so thankful to Casey for including Lila in her run and encouraging her throughout!
Ivey stayed bundled up in the baby bjorn ... she didn't make a peep the entire time!
Almost done!! They held hands the entire run!

Goings on at Lila's School

Lila had a couple of fun days at school this past week. Thursday night was first grade's pirate play at school. Lila had a speaking part (Thankful to the sweet lady that sent me her video of it! I'm a terrible videographer.) ... she read it great, and she was super excited for the play. Her enthusiasm wasn't too evident however when it came to singing and performing. She still did a great job though! I'm proud of this little girl!
Friday was the 50th Day of School and the first grade celebrated with a 50s day. Lila got to wear her poodle skirt to school ... they had a bubble-gum blowing contest, drank root beer floats, and did lots of math activities with counting to 50.
Lila also got her first report card this past week ... all A's (99 in reading and math, and 100 in language arts). To say we were pleased, proud, and impressed is an understatement. We are beyond thankful for Lila's love of learning, for her motivation, and for her commitment to do well.
Clare got a report card from Sissy this past week too -- she earned all S's for knowing her letter names/sounds, her color words, shapes, and some high frequency words. Way to go, Clare!!

Pictures from the last month...

Here are some sister pictures from the last month ... I've done a terrible job keeping the blog up. I've definitely snapped some pictures, but getting them on the blog has proven to be a challenge. We are busy and tired. We stay on the go, and once we sit, we crash! I love these sweet girls though .. they truly are my heart!
Lila has been playing soccer this month ... This was the night of their first game.
Ivey, Clare, and I went one night to cheer on Team Chastain .. It was a stormy tonight and we saw a double rainbow!
My sweet little chubs
Sweet Ivey has started to eat food and sit in her high chair .. can't believe how fast she's growing!
And to finish up my catch up from the last month, here is Clare singing the Auburn Fight Song .. War Eagle!! :-)

Roll Tide!!

Supporting Alabama with their daddy too this season ... made his day when they sported their Alabama gear! Pretty sure they were good luck charms too since Alabama played an awesome game against Georgia.
