Happy Thanksgiving!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Thankful for my sweet family and all of our many blessings!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Ivey at 19 months

I haven't done much of an update on this sweet little ham of mine since she turned a year old. What a joy this baby is to our family! She adores her sisters, and has become quite the mama's girl here lately. She has finally figured out the stairs, or at least how to come down the stairs. She scoots on her bottom stair by stair, and is pretty stinking proud of herself. She follows those big girls around all the time and gets so upset if they try to sneak off to play without her. She loves going to her school and gives Sissy such a big hug nearly every morning. She really, really likes her pacifier and her lovies. She doesn't go to many places without them, though I don't think she lugs them around at Sissy's. One of her favorite things to do with her lovie is to play with the tag -- she likes to tickle her face with it, and she also likes to pull the tag between her fingers and her toes. See picture below. :-) She doesn't talk too much -- she says only a few words -- hi and uh-oh. She'll wave hi and bye, and she does the sign for please and thank you. She still loves to eat. We've moved from bottles at night to some snuggle time in the rocking chair -- probably starting a bad habit, but it's so dang sweet. She loves music and bobs her head, snaps her fingers, and sways back and forth anytime she hears music. She is my happy little love bug, and I love her oh so much.

Lila's Thanksgiving Play

Lila had her Thanksgiving play. They sang some of the sweetest and cutest songs. Lila was part of welcoming everyone to the play, and she did a great song memorizing her lines. I can hardly believe that she's in the 2nd grade and will move to the next school next year. She's growing before my eyes, and it's so hard to digest.
Sweet friends .. Lila, Addison, Lille, and Caroline

Go, Lila, Go!

Lila had her first soccer tournament in Alex City at the first of November. Her team didn't do particularly well, but I was proud of her effort and her game. She worked hard and tried her best. She played in the field and in the goal -- the goal gave her some fits, but it was a good lesson in sportsmanship. Special thanks to Mimi and Pop for coming to cheer her on.
Earlier that week, both girls finished up their soccer seasons, and we were thankful for wonderful coaches and such sweet teammates. It was a wonderful season indeed!

Halloween Festivities!

We started Halloween off by heading the Durhams for their annual pumpkin carving/Halloween festival. The girls had fun on the hayride and playing games with all of their friends.
This year we had a Wonder Woman, a Raggedy Ann, and a Witchy Lila.
We also had our Trunk-or-Treat at Church.
Leah and Lila the Witches
 Sweet Friends!
Halloween Night -- Trick or Treating in our Neighborhood!
Sweet Nonie came and trick or treated with us, and we were glad she joined us!

Drug Free and Proud

The girls participated in the Drug Free Poster contest at school. I was very proud of the hard work that they put into their posters. We worked on an idea, but they did all the writing, drawing, and coloring on their own.
Clare ended up winning first prize for her poster.
Can't not include this sweet face!!

Visitors

Casey and Jon came down for the Auburn vs. Arkansas game. We took the opportunity to walk around campus and tailgate a little bit before they headed into the game. It'd been awhile since we did this, and we had such a fun time people watching and seeing all the team spirit.
Some after church pictures ... thankful for these two and glad that they came for a visit!
