Clare Anne is 12 months old today!! I can not believe that one whole year has passed since she came into our lives. She has added so much to our family -- I love looking up and seeing my two girls playing. Lila is so good with her and loves her so much. I am so thankful for her sweet disposition, her funny personality, her silly faces, and her hugs and kisses.
Some things about Clare at 12 months old:
1. She's walking everywhere now. Right after she turned 11 months old, she really picked up her stepping and then one day, she was just off. She is certainly hard to keep up with now!
2. She's an incredible climber. Sometimes I don't know how she ends up on top of the things that she ends up on. I won't even say some of the pieces of furniture I've found her standing on.
3. She's completely on whole milk and drinking out of sippy cups. I still give her the nighttime bottle, but I'm not sure why -- she's never too interested in it. She's eats mostly table food, and prefers for you to not spoon feed her anything. She had grilled cheese today for the first time at lunch and gobbled it up. She loves cheese and fruits and has a love/hate relationship with veggies.
4. She's wearing 12 to 18 months in her clothes.
5. She is VERY clingy to me and has really gotten attached to her little lovie since summer started.
6. She usually has a pretty go-with-the-flow attitude, but in the last month her firey little temper has started to come out and she can pitch a nice little tantrum.
7. She's cut 2 teeth this month (so that makes 7) and she's working on her 8th. I think that's what contributing to the tantrums and bad moods. I'm really ready for that tooth to come on.
8. She can say a few words that we can interpret, such as mama, dada, Lila, dog, and nah. She can also point to things to identify them, including her nose, and has said that a sheep says "baa" (but that might have been a fluke :).
