Go Bulldogs!

A couple of weeks ago, the girls did a cheerleading camp put on by the high school cheerleaders. Last Friday night, they were able to perform at the pre-football game festivities. They boy did such a great job!! I was so proud of them. They got out there, cheered, danced, and had a great time! I have to say, they made pretty cute little cheerleaders.
Always enjoy running into former students -- I"m thankful they love me enough to come and say hi still!!

Big News!!

Our newest little sweet pea is set to arrive in April. We are all pretty excited to welcome this little bit to our family...especially Clare. She can't stop talking about the baby. Praying for a healthy and happy little baby!

Lila's First Lost Tooth

Two weeks ago, I was watching T.V. in the living room, and Lila and Clare were watching a movie in my bed and snacking on apples. All of the sudden, Lila came out of my room hysterical! It took me a minute to figure out what had her so upset -- a bite of her apple had really loosened her bottom tooth. I'm not sure if it was loose beforehand, but if it was, we didn't know it. We explained what was going on -- and then I started crying! A loose tooth just seemed like such a big deal. The next day, after some more loosening, Josh was able to pull it out. She put it under her pillow, and received $5 the next morning from the tooth fairy. She was pretty funny talking about her adult tooth coming in -- she just couldn't figure out how such a big tooth was going to fit in such a small space.

Clare's First Trip to the Dentist

Clare Anne had her first trip to the dentist this past week. I was a little worried about her ... she can get clingy and disagreeable if a situation isn't comfortable for her. She made me super proud. She crawled right up into the chair and let Ms. Vicky show her all the instruments, and then she had her teeth cleaned with no problem. Our appointments got all scrambled up, so I ended up going after her. That girl sat in the chair beside me and went through a toy basket the entire time I was having my teeth cleaned. She didn't make a peep! I swear I did't know where my rambunctious child went for that 20 minutes!! Her dramatics did come at the end when the doctor came in to check our teeth. He came after I was done, so by then Clare was over it. She did not want to climb up with me and have her teeth looked at. She made it difficult, but we made it through.
She told me the next morning that the next time she had to go to the dentist, she wouldn't be fussy, and she'd let that boy count her teeth. She told Sissy that 'the boy counted her teeth.' Sissy asked what his name was and Clare's response was 'Duh ... I can't bememeber.'
This child of mine ... what a mess!!

Camping at Mt. Cheaha

We spent this Labor Day weekend at Mt. Cheaha with my parents and Casey. We had such a good time. The mountain and all the views were beautiful, and it was so nice to get away, but not travel for forever to do so! We celebrated Mama's birthday, we swam at their lake, played on the playground, had an interesting dinner out, and made some new friends. I'd say that it was a pretty successful trip!! Here's to our next excursion ;-)
Happy Birthday, Grammy!!
Fun at Cheaha Lake...
